There are two types of things you can keep records of:
static things and dynamic things

Static: Here are some examples of things that are static (they do not change much)
Cards:      credit, banking, identification, business, membership, permit, licence, etc.
Accounts:      banks, vendors, investments, stores, loans, etc.
Documents:      mortgages, liens, permits, contracts, certificates, awards, passports, tax returns, letters, agreements, etc.

Family Documents:      birth, marriage and death certificates, citizenship papers, adoption papers, veterans's papers, etc.
Home Ownership Records:      blueprints, deeds, titles, surveys, trust documents, asset inventory, etc.
Insurance Policies:      home, auto, life, accident, loan, mortgage, etc.
Contacts:      friends, relatives, neighbours, associates, professionals, advisors, agencies, etc.

 Dynamic: Here are some examples of things that are dynamic (they change and are measurable over time)

Medical Results:     blood work (cholesterol), blood pressure, weight, etc.
Activities:     miles run, steps climbed, miles biked, hours slept, etc.
